How to invite a customer

As a service partner, you can invite new customers to share their ConnectedCooking account with you and provide you with service related information about their RATIONAL devices.

New customer connections can only be created by administrators. As a technician, please contact an administrator at your company.

Solution steps:

  1. Click on “Customers” in the menu.
  2. Select “+ Add Customers” to invite a new customer.
  3. Enter the customer's email address. Please note: This must be the email address of the ConnectedCooking account that you want to link. If the customer does not yet have an account, they will be redirected to the registration page.
  4. Also enter the name of the customer's company so that you will know later which invitation it is. However, your entry here has nothing to do with how the customer names their company.
  5. Optional: Leave a personal message for the customer, which will be displayed in the invitation.
  6. Click on “Send invite.”
  7. The invitation will be marked as “Pending” and can now be accepted by the customer within 30 days.

Please note that for security reasons, a sent invitation is only valid for 30 days.

What happens next?

  1. In the “Sent Invitations” section, you will find all sent and pending invitations.
  2. Once the customer has accepted the invitation, you will see it marked as accepted with the date of acceptance.
  3. The customer will automatically appear in your customer list in the first tab. Please note: The name is now the company name as entered by the customer in their ConnectedCooking account. If you do not recognize them from the name alone, you can also compare it with the email address. You also already see in the list how many devices the customer shared with you.
  4. As a service partner, you will also be automatically displayed under “Service Partners” for the customer in ConnectedCooking.
